Traffic Safety through both public education and enforcement has always been a priority for the Cornwall Community Police Service. As such we proudly introduced to the community its Traffic Specialist Unit in March of 2003.
The Traffic Unit's mandate is to investigate all fatal motor vehicle collisions, collisions resulting in serious or life threatening injuries, serious hit and run collisions as well as the technical reconstruction of collision scenes. Members of the unit also work in conjunction with the Ministry of Transportation to conduct safety inspections on truck and passenger vehicles.
